Conference Recording Technology Ensures Full Access to Organizational Membership

Image Audiovisuals was selected by the American Urological Association (AUA) as the organization’s webcast recording partner for their annual conference held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco in mid-May.

ImageAV’s Conference Recording Division was onsite for the seven-day event and again handled the conference’s webcast recording production. Our team recorded, edited and delivered over 300 recordings. Every meeting session was recorded in high-definition video and contained a full-motion screen capture and the presenter’s audio.

David McGuire, the project manager, and the eight-person Image team were onsite for this impressive conference that featured 50 hours of plenary programming, 80 instructional courses, video sessions, and more than 2,500 scientific abstracts from all corners of the globe.

“There were 20 rooms of programming of one kind or another going on at once,” McGuire explained. “We were recording and producing presentations every seven minutes.”

This project required not only recording every session in HD, but also the seamless, real-time transfer and editing of all the media and sound. The team was then responsible for rendering out this massive amount of data and turning it into a web-deliverable format. We delivered all of the webcasts to AUA within 24-hours of each recording, so they were able to make all of the content immediately available to its membership.
