For the Concerts for Kids family of over 50 non-profit beneficiaries, Community Day is an annual event to bring over 1,000 volunteers to numerous locations in Denver to assist in property improvements ranging from cleaning and painting buildings to landscaping and roofing structures. Consequently, these in-kind efforts help free budgets for directives in staffing and programming, traditionally a strain on the charitable partners.
Since 2008, the team at Image Audiovisuals has been a fixture at this day of giving, most recently lending efforts to paint and prime West Generation High School this April.
“In the collective 2012 Community Day efforts, over $500,000 of contributions were donated in labor, equipment and services, and we look forward to learning the 2013 impact soon,” said Diana Mueller, Chief Executive Officer at Image Audiovisuals. “While we look forward to doing our part each year by helping support and provide audiovisual equipment for the day’s entertainment, for our business, we have a unique chance to bring our employees together for a great cause. We are very fortunate to have that opportunity.”
Since its inception 25 years ago, the efforts taken by Image Audiovisuals to expand its reach into charitable giving and encourage employees to become more involved in volunteering continue to pay off in huge dividends.
“One of the reasons I started Image was to focus on the best customer service we could provide, and I truly believe our charitable efforts have greatly improved employee morale and our ability to serve our diverse partners,” states David Mueller, President & Founder.
“Giving back” has become paramount within the Image environment, with many employees contributing personal time to area charities such as Project Angelheart and Food Bank of the Rockies, as well as through participation in organized fundraising events such as the National Multiple Sclerosis Society MS150 bike ride this June.
Bill Gates once said, “Although I don’t have a prescription for what others should do, I know I have been very fortunate and feel a responsibility to give back to society in a very significant way.” Well said, Bill.
